I made a comparison between Matterport Pro2 and the insta360 One RS 1-inch on my channel on youtube of angle X.
The 1-inch is fine an a help in sunlight outside, but without lidar it´s a bit hard for the cam to get all details in the dollhouse – what the Pro2 manages better. But the warm colors of the images inside are quite good and the cam is much cheaper as the Pro2. If you have standard items like chairs, beds, boards, etc. it will handle it quite good!
¿Hola Gustav, muchas gracias por compartirnos tu experiencia con esta cámara. Nos podrás compartir el link del tour virtual de Matterport?
Nice to hear the RS 1 is supported. Still waiting for X3 to be supported.
As soon as there’s any news we’ll let you guys know!
With the latstest update the X3 has Beta support. Great job. Thanks.
I did a field test with the Insta360 X3. The summary of the results in Dutch you will find on this page: https://360digitaltwin.nl/insta360-x3-met-matterport-support/ Or go straight to Matterport tour: https://my.360digitaltwin.nl/en/tour/acclaim-hotel-calgary-airport
Hi Manolis, great to see you had a positive experience shooting with X3. If you have any other feedback/insights on using X3 for virtual tours, we’ll happily pass it on to our product team.
I have a problem with my Insta360 RS 1 Inch and Matterport. With iOS version 5.8, it worked perfectly.
The camera was recognized as “Unknown Insta360” but it worked fine.
But since 5.9.1 (and now 5.10), all renderings of Matterport virtual tours are overexposed, unusable for commercial purposes.
Matterport support tells me it’s still in beta with them.
Are there other users having the problem?
Thank you all.
