Insta360 has been honored by the iF International Forum Design GmbH with a prestigious iF Design Award for its groundbreaking achievements in 360° camera design.
The winning product, the Insta360 ONE, stood out to the organization’s jury of independent experts, emerging from a pack of more than 6,400 entries submitted from 54 countries around the globe.
The ONE set itself apart with a sleek, ergonomic form factor, and its unrivaled versatility among 360° cameras. The ONE sports a unique foldable Lightning connector – allowing it to link up with a smartphone at a moment’s notice for convenient sharing and live-streaming of 360° content.
When launched in the second half of 2017, the Insta360 ONE also proposed an all-new way to think about videography with its innovative FreeCapture feature. Using FreeCapture, creators can effortlessly capture a scene in every direction at once. Then, using a simple mobile interface, they can curate exactly the shots and angles they want. It means users can “Shoot first, point later” – it’s the perfect way to capture the best version of any story.
The iF Award comes on the heels of a pair of CES Innovation Awards recently bestowed on the Insta360 ONE and Insta360 Pro for their pioneering designs and user experiences.
